THE FAERIE ACCORD
The Faerie Accord is the Original Covenant of sacred reciprocity between humanity, the living Earth, the creatures of the world, and the unseen intelligences of the Otherworld. In the elder traditions, humans were never meant to stand apart from Nature as dominators or consumers, but as conscious participants within a living web of relationship. The Faerie traditions teach that there are three orders of life upon Earth ~ human beings, faery beings, and creature beings ~ and that the flourishing of Gaia depends upon alliance and communion between them.
The restoration of this covenant is humanity's great spiritual work: the rebuilding of the cosmic web through reverence, stewardship, reciprocity, and sacred relationship with all of Life.
When the Faerie Accord is broken, we experience separation from Nature, loss of enchantment, distortion of truth, extraction instead of reciprocity, and disconnection from our soul's destiny. The Accord is restored through consent rather than domination, generosity rather than hoarding, truth rather than distortion, and trust rather than scarcity.
In this way, restoring the Faerie Accord is not merely about relating to the realms of Faerie ~ it is an inner and outer path of returning to right relationship with self, others, Gaia, and the sacred unseen worlds.
